Dan Kerins began his career with the IA with Local Two in 1947. The IATSE is a family tradition in Kerins’ family. His father, five uncles and brother were members of the IATSE Local Two. Currently he has two sons and a son-in-law working as members of Local Two.

He spent one year as the Local’s secretary before assuming the position of Business Agent in 1967, where he successfully served for 29 years until his retirement in 1996.

Kerins is also a retired International Vice President of IATSE, serving as an International Executive Board Member from 1987 to 2004.
