Social Media and Local 2 Business

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

One of the responsibilities of our Executive Board is to help protect and secure our jobs. In the age of social media that’s become more difficult. Several Local 2 referrals have recently used social media to post inflammatory comments. The comments have had great potential to damage the advancement of our Local.

Our Constitution and By-Laws strictly prohibit actions contrary to the advancement of Local 2 and we ask that everyone please refrain from placing anything regarding Local 2 business on social media. Should a social media message that is in any way damaging to Local 2 be posted by a Local 2 referral, charges may be preferred against that referral. Thank you.
